We ended up going to Edinboro and parking in the driveway of one of Dave's brothers who has a vacation house there. Then we walked down to the lake and staked out a park bench beside the water.

Here's some pictures that I took last Friday when Dave and I were scouting out places to view the upcoming eclipse. We wouldn't need to go that far north to get to a place to see totality (even Cochranton would do - 10 miles away) but we wanted to get as many minutes of totality as possible and that means getting as close to Lake Erie as possible. Maybe cause I have been thinking about the sun so much lately, reading about the eclipse, but I am just amazed this morning by this wonderful source of light we have out there shining on us everyday, warming us, allowing life to continue here.
